Louisiana Faithful Neighbors: Love Your Immigrant Neighbor Campaign

Thanks to efforts from The Louisiana Interchurch Conference, Louisiana Faithful Neighbors, is a group of clergy and faith leaders organizing in support of our immigrant neighbors.

LFN is creating shared liturgy, and has begun inviting congregations to sign up to host an open to the public, prayer service. At each gathering, participating congregations will be asked to:

  • Capture and share at least one photo, so we can create a growing gallery of images from these vigils across our communities.

  • Invite participants to sign up for an email list, allowing us to share updates and opportunities for faithful action.

  • Offer simple calls to action, helping people learn ways to stand with and advocate for immigrant neighbors.

LFN hopes this effort will connect with broader advocacy already underway. As people of faith, we hope these prayer gatherings can both ground us spiritually and strengthen the public witness of those working to resist the expansion of immigrant detention in our state.
